National Champions!

Monday, 25 Jun 2012

Cheam Under 11 A's are the new IAPS National Champions.

This term the Under 11 A Rounders team have been busy participating in the IAPS Rounders competition. It is a knock out process in which you have to play five rounds before the finals day, which takes place every year at Windlesham House. This year Cheam really excelled in the competition winning all five rounds, without having to bat twice. This was a fantastic achievement within itself.

However this was not to be the end. The girls took part in the semi and finals day on Thursday 21st June and won the whole competition very convincingly, beating the reigning champions in the final!  They continued with their impressive record of not having to bat twice, displaying some fine fielding throughout the day.  They beat over 70 other prep schools across the country to become the national champions within the sport!

A fantastic achievement, girls!  Well done!
