Cheam enjoys comprehensive sporting facilities including a recently built sports centre complete with new changing facilities, a dance studio and fitness area; extensive playing fields; a swimming pool; nine-hole golf course; six tennis courts and a fishing lake.
The children have formal games sessions six days a week as well as a double PE period. The major sports coached are rugger, football and cricket for boys and hockey, netball and rounders for girls. There are many other sports on offer including athletics, tennis, squash, judo, fencing, badminton, shooting, polo, gymnastics, cross-country to name but a few!
The school boasts a packed fixtures list with numerous teams representing the school on match days (Wednesdays and Saturdays). Cheam has enjoyed significant success at a national schools level particularly in athletics, polo, fencing and cross-country. The school has a rich sporting tradition and it is proud of its reputation and of its games provision for children of all abilities.
The school is committed to broadening the children's sporting horizons and in recent years there have been cricket and netball tours to Kenya and Cape Town, a girls' hockey tour to Barcelona and a fencing tour to Jersey.
